1 Connect Modi’s RCA outputs to your amp or preamp using high-quality RCA cables. Yes, you can

use crappy ones too, as long as they work.

2 Connect your optical source (computer, Airport Express, AppleTV, CD player, transport, etc) to

the Optical Modi’s optical input, using a Toslink optical cable. It is very difcult to get any output

without an optical connection.

3 Connect the supplied 16VAC wall-wart to the Optical Modi with the attached cord. Do not use dif-

ferent AC adapters, no matter how fractally perfect, cryogenically treated, or quantum aligned they

are. Most wall-warts are DC output, and will not work with Modi.

4 Turn on the power and enjoy your music!
